Where to go Mountain Biking?

Anderson Fire Trail, Wentworth Falls
This trail is ideal for anyone who wants to experience the raw beauty that help make the numerous Blue Mountains attractions so popular all across the world. Perfect for mountain biking, the Anderson Fire Trail will take you all the way from

Wentworth Falls towards Woodford, providing you with a wonderful insight of rugged bushland. One of the region’s steepest biking trail, Anderson Fire Trail is covered in loose gravel and is best suited to visitors with plenty of mountain biking experience. The entire trail measures around 31km.

If you’re not driving, you can easily take a train into Wentworth Falls to start your biking trail. It should be noted that this trail is not suited to beginners.

Falconbridge Point Lookout
If you don’t have a lot of experience with mountain biking or if you lack stamina, you might want to give the Falconbridge Point Lookout a try. Because it provides you with a bird’s eye view, you can be sure that you will benefit from a spectacular display over Blue Mountain’s most scenic attractions.

While the trail does cover a hilly terrain, the trail is relatively smooth which enables you to adopt a rather leisurely cadence as you cycle past delightful Blue Mountains attractions. Covering a distance of 6km, this mountain bike trail can be accessed through Grose Road which is found in the Great Western Highway.

It should be known that Falconbridge Point Lookout provides an exceptional view over the surrounding areas, including the unique Three Sisters Rock formation and the neighboring towns.

Oaks Trail, Woodford
Extremely invigorating and refreshing, Oaks Trail at Woodford is the best place to experience the delectable gush of adrenaline that is synonymous with most Blue Mountains attractions. Oozing with fresh and crisp mountain air, this is the perfect mountain biking trail for large groups and families since it also has some excellent spots where you can stop for a light picnic or snack along the way.

This particular trail takes you from Woodford into Glenbrook, where you can experience more picturesque attractions and benefit from great photo opportunities. Visitors will need around 3.5 hours for each way in order to cover the trail’s 27kms.

McMahon’s Point Ride
Because of its steep climbs and rather uneven terrain, McMahon’s Point Ride is the perfect trail for any experienced cyclist who wants to be awed by Blue Mountains’ attractions such as Wentworth Falls and Lake Burragorang.

The trail has a medium level of difficulty but it’s certainly worth the effort: with a high altitude, it provides you with a sweeping view of the Blue Mountains National Park with its numerous creeks, waterfalls, sandstone ledges and wild foliage.
